Crayons

Crayons

Teachers, you’re not the only ones on strike this time! Take a look at these great costume ideas for World Book Day and dress as the Crayons that take industrial action in the 2013 smash-hit novel The Day The Crayons Quit. Don the guise of the Red Crayola Crayon, who is tired from his unreasonable working hours, being expected to be available for apples, fire engines and even working during the holidays for Santa Clause drawings.  Or perhaps your more of a Pink Crayon, who is on strike for being typecast as the girly colour, only being used by Duncan’s little sister and never being able to break the glass ceiling and be used for cowboys and dinosaurs. Maybe you’re feeling a little blue like the Blue Crayon, whose monotonous job is simply huge bulks of skies and water. Blue just wants to spice things up every once-in-a-while and be used to draw eyes or maybe a shark. Or maybe you’ve got no problems.  Maybe you’re the Green Crayon that’s happy with his work life balance and is in a job with good benefits and room for upward mobility. However you feel there’s a crayon for you this World Book Day!
