Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is almost here and who's excited as we are? Every year this worldwide event never fails to disappoint with so many different events taking place all over the world! And of course, it wouldn't be the same without all you amazing folks getting involved especially those who bring along some fancy dress. Each year we are filled with so much joy seeing thousands dressed up from head to toe in different Bavarian style costumes. Whether you keep it simple with an accessory or two or go all out with a full Lederhosen costume, we just love seeing everyone get involved!

Now as we all know this seasonal event begun in Germany, to be exact in the famous city, Munich. It was a celebration of the wedding of the King, Ludwig I of Bavaria and Therese of Sachsen-Hildburghausen back in 1810! They celebrated for 5 days straight in the streets of Munich, dancing, singing, eating, drinking and celebrating this big event. They loved it so much, the following year they took it a step further celebrating it all over again, bringing in more events such as horse racing! Over the years it has changed in many ways to be the event we know today. Now it lasts a total of 16 days and ends on the first Sunday in October! We are definitely not complaining about the fact we get over 2 weeks celebrating now having so many events all across the world. If you haven't already experienced an Oktoberfest event, we highly recommend you do! The atmosphere is like no other, everyone just getting involved having a dance, singing along, drinking with friends and family and feasting to cultural German foods.
