When it comes to fancy dress, we are a firm believer that just putting on the costume doesn’t always cut it. If you truly want to pull it off then hair, make-up, and accessories are a must. The right costume, hair, make-up, and accessories are integral in turning good 1920’s fancy dress in to great 1920’s fancy dress!

Dress

Straight, loose fitting, sleeveless, knee length and low waistline. Sequined or other ornate external decoration.

Costume

Double breasted suit with defined shoulders. Flashy tuxedo jacket, waistcoat, trousers.

 

Accessories

Elbow length gloves, feather boa, long beaded necklaces. Cigarette holder, small cloche hats and berets.

Dramatic, dark, thin and arched.

Heavy black mascara, possible fake eyelashes.

Dark smokey eyeshadow upwards from the lash line. Eyeliner around the eyes.

Pink blush on top of cheekbones.

A very well trimmed haircut on the back and sides. Clean shaven, however many men would often go for a small moustache.
