This year Armed Forces Day 2015 falls on the 27th June which is a Saturday! What better day is there than that to maybe host your own little get together / Event to show your respect to those either currently serving in action or those who have previously!
So, What Exactly is Armed Forces Day?
Since 2009 Armed Forces Day has been a chance for you and others to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces Community! These includes currently serving troops, service families, veterans and even cadets! 2015 will be no exception!
When is Armed Forces Day?
Although the day it will be celebrated is the 27th June the whole week will be filled with celebrations. On Monday the 22nd June the Armed Forces Flag will be raised on building and famous landmarks around the country, one to definitely look out for!
Why do we celebrate Armed Forces Day?
Just showing support to the troops that are currently serving can provide such a morale boost for them and even their families! Also what better excuse is there than Armed Forces Day to grab yourself some Camouflage Fancy Dress and act like a big kid!
Get Invloved!
If you're now sitting there a little bit wiser about Armed Forces Day and are wondering how you can get involved then look no further. It really is simple to do your part and there are a number of ways to do it!
- Attend an Event - There are literally hundreds of events taking place across the U.K (Click here to find one in your Area)
- Hold your own Event - Create a Public Event or even just invite your neighbours round to celebrate the amazing work of our troops! Remember, no event is either too big or too small (Organise an Event) (Register Your Event)
Now that you're all clued up about Armed Forces Day you need somethig fitting to wear for it!

But how will you know what you will look like when you're running around pretending to be a soldier? Well, luckily for you we have had some fun of our own in one of these costumes and put together a little video. Make sure you're sound is up though as we have also added some fitting sound effects!
Or you could just get some accessories together, either way im sure you will find a way to make this Armed Forces Day a good one!
