Howdens Joinery Event

I Love Fancy Dress partnered with the Howdens Joinery Southend team who hosted a day to remember! The guys at Howdens Southend came to us a month before their event and explained that they needed costumes for the staff as they were putting on a fancy dress event in which they provided food and entertainment to customers and friends on top of a massive 80% giveaway!

In order to supply the costumes and accessories for the event, we received the Howdens staff in twos and threes in the weeks leading up to the big day! Entering into our building appeared men and women dressed in normal every-day clothes, yet an observer would have seen a quite different story with those who walked out! Leaving our premises together was not only a smurf and a nun hand in hand, yet also Dennis the Menace, a male fairy and many, many more.

We had so much fun together with the Howdens team, advising them on what to wear and making sure they had the correct accessories that they invited us to join them on the day! On top of the great deals that they were offering customers and the delicious food that was served, (yes we had more than our fair share of the hog roast), the atmosphere was brilliant with the fancy dress setting the mood! How many times have you seen a scary Halloween mad man operating a forklift? Or a smurf unloading a delivery? Whilst reality was suspended, it was not uncommon to turn the corner and be faced head on with a nun walking towards you carrying a full pot of coffee!

All in all everyone enjoyed the day and the fancy dress element definitely contributed towards the fun-filled atmosphere. Our friends at Howdens Joinery had this to say:
